All the things you mentioned about Anakin (killing younglings, torturing people, etc) is what makes him an EXCELLENT character. To put it in another way, we can hate the actions he makes, but that’s what makes him such an interesting character. I might dislike Anakin as a person sometimes (because there are moments where I really love him!!) but I ALWAYS love him as a character, because of all the complexity it has, and that makes him one of my favorite characters I really hope this makes sense

Exactly!
Anakin makes terrible decisions but that doesn’t mean he’s a terrible character
or that we are terrible people for enjoying him. His ability to go great things
AND terrible things is what makes him the most well developed character in the
franchise. And we try to pretend he didn’t do either, that he was either
completely good or completely evil we end up denying what makes him a great
character.

Yes! Imo the bad thing about the fandom is that
most people tend to look at things in “black and white” instead of all
the different shades of gray that exist (and then complain about the
character doing the same thing).  Anakin’s terrible AND great acts is
what makes me love him as a character.
We can’t just look at all the bad things about him, because even in his
darkest times, as Vader, he still had light (good) in him. THAT WAS THE
POINT OF ALL THE SAGA!!!

You ever get salty over something you know u have no right to be salty about and therefore u can’t talk about it without looking like a whiny bitch, so u just sit there marinating in ur own salt like some kind of human pickle

@arctrooperfivesbutt i wanna hear your salt about kix

Yay! Thank you!

Well I’m not going to say much because I don’t want to get in middle of a discussion or something. But the way I see most people write Kix is him being most of time angry and Done™ with his brothers and honestly, we don’t see that in canon. He’s gentle, sweet, patient and cares a lot for his brothers. Yes there are moments when he gets angry but it’s not a “Fuck you all” kind of anger, imo, it’s a cold kind of anger and only lasts a few seconds before fading away because he’s worried for his brothers.

I think I should talk more about this one day, but it’ll have to be when I have enough time to take screenshots from the show to back up what I’m trying to say

*But everybody is free to have a different view of the characters so it’s okay if you don’t agree with this!

“What were the jedi supposed to do! The clones were practically forced upon them!”

actually has an easy answer given that the jedi order is supposed to be an order that advocates for peace and non-violence. Their first response to the clones, who were basically bred to fight a war against their will should not be “let’s use them anyway, i mean that’s all they’re good for” it should probably have been “let’s intorudce these men into society and work on giving them rights because we have the powr to do so. Let’s peacefully advocate for the end of clone production so we are not here creating men to fight against their will, since we have collectively decided that we will not use the clones against their will!”

That is what the jedi, and the senate should have done instead of jumping to use them as literal slaves. Or at least–after the first battle of geonosis, they could have agreed to let clones pick and choose if they wanted to stay in the war and those who wanted to leave could have gotten a lot of therapy (bcs they needed it) and could have been given citizenship.

The fandom literally has a black and white train of thought because they automatically assume that the one soultion for the jedi since they had no choice to accept the clones, was to use them for a war. No, that wasn’t the only solution. Not by a long shot.

Yes! And not only that, but the Jedi shouldn’t have gotten involved in the war in first place!

“Protect all living beings” they say, but it seems like they only care about the living beings who live in the Republic. Or does being part of the Separatists automatically makes you a non living being? It seems like that was the Jedi ides.

They should have helped the clones, who were never given the choice to be something else, and give them that choice. Aren’t the Jedi supposed to protect freedom?

But honestly, what can be expected from people who take kids away from their family to teach them what THEY believe in and never accept being questioned.

ocs? who are they!! what are their names!! i would die for them already!!

arctrooperfivesbutt:

OMG I’m so happy you asked!!! I only have three OCs for now but I’m planning on developing more later on. And I kinda only have one of them very well developed, but I’m working on the other two!
First we have “Shadow”! That’s her nickname, she hasn’t use her real name in a long time, but she’ll say it some day. She was part of the Jedi Order, but left it because she didn’t agree with the code, specially with the No Attachment part. She had some good adventures and met certain bounty hunter who taught her some new skills.
Then war started and she just couldn’t tolerate the way the Jedi treated the clones so she went back and started helping them in some missions just to try to protect as many clones as she can. She doesn’t believe in the Republic either and thinks that this war is meaningless, but she’s there to help the clones. She secretly helps some of them to desert and send them to a safe place. Later on she’ll meet and fall for certain ARC trooper (you know who he is). She still won’t have her own battalion, until Umbara happens and she takes care of Krell’s battalion. Here is where she meets my other OC:

Captain Hope!. He served under Krell, and thanks to this he has deep trauma (I hate Krell!!!). He loves and always tries to take care of his brothers. It takes a little, but he starts trusting Shadow and realizing that she’s not like Krell and she actually cares about them.

Shadow and Hope will name their battalion, “The Phoenix battalion”, so just let me believe that phoenixes (?) are real, or at least mythological, in the SW universe.

And the other OC I have is Wings! He’s a pilot, a very excellent pilot, and an amazing friend! He gives some of the best hugs and it’s always there to support his brothers and his general.

I have many plans for the story. Since the battle of Geonosis, to Rishi and Kamino, to all the adventures we see in TCW and also for Order 66. And maybe some other ideas for some of them during the OT and MAYBE during the ST, I just need to work on the timeline to make it work!
I’m really hoping I can write all of this one day!

Thank you so much for asking! I loved writing about them! ❤️

i’ll never understand why we don’t call countries the names they actually call themselves

like, i know this is a weeaboo-sounding example, but let’s start with Japan. They call themselves Nippon or Nihon depending on… i guess, the speaker’s accent??? or their level of formality while speaking??? I dunno. But we still called them Zipangu for like a few hundred years. And now we call them Japan.

All because Marco Polo asked someone in China about that island over there and they said “oh that’s Cipangu” and Marco Polo was like “Oh, Zipangu, cool.” And then he went back to Italy and said “Y’ALL THERE’S THIS DOPE-ASS ISLAND CALLED ZIPANGU” and people back in Italy were like “An island called Giappone? Dope.”

And this pattern of people mishearing people kept repeating until we got to “Japan.”

And we still call them Japan even though we know better. Because fuck you, Marco Polo asked the wrong person 500 years ago and misheard them and we’re sticking to that, I guess.

that was literally just the world’s worst game of telephone

We got Perú when a Spaniard asked for the name of the territory and a native person answered him with the name of the cacique who ruled that zone, that cacique was called “Birú” and with time we got Virú, Berú, Pirú and finally Perú.

The real name of the Inca empire was “Tahuantinsuyo” or “Tawaintin Suyu” in Quechua that meant “four regions (” Tawa" = a group of four, “Suyu” = region, area or province)
