I wanna hear all about your 100% canon «Fives survived by Being Dramatic» story, and heck throw in your oc too. Also how much coaching did Rex need to be able to act convincingly? is Rex a natural actor or is he horrifically stilted and Thank God anakin is naturally interprets everything 115% more dramatic than it actually is so Rex’s performance was convincing to him and him only?

Thank you for asking!! And to put things in context for other, this is about my tags in this post.

I’m not good at writing things but I’ll try to do my best 😀

……

So, Fives finds Kix in that bar and asks him to contact Rex and Anakin.

We see that there’s a security droid following him, but there is somebody who’s following him too, that’s Shadow (my OC). Shadow destroys the droid and meets Fives in together they plan everything: Fives has to fake his death and escape to a place where the Republic won’t find him. They call Rex and Fox and tell them about their plan, Fox agrees because, despite his work, he never fully trusted Palpatine. They tell him where they are and that’s how the Coruscant Guard finds the place where Fives was.

Fives loves giving dramatic speeches, so there wasn’t much problem with that. Fox managed to get a fake blaster that only damaged Fives’ armor. And Rex has lived that scene so many times with other brothers that the acting just came naturally for him.

Shadow was hiding in the back of the room and when Fives had “died” she came into scene and after some crying, she asked that she should be the one to take Fives body to the medical center in Coruscant and Anakin agreed, but Rex should go with her.

She then sends Fives to another ship that was already waiting for him with Captain Hope (another OC) who was already told about the plan.

She goes to the medical center with Rex and using some credits she had saved, and some mind force tricks, she “convinces” the medics there to be fake a report for Palpatine.

Then she goes to meet with Fives and takes him to a planet in the Unknown Regions, near the Wild Space, where she had been taking clones who wanted to desert since the beginning of the war, Fives will be safe there.

………

I think I should try to learn how to write correctly so I can make a story out of this. I have two versions that might happen after this, one where they succeed in telling everybody about the chips and the orders and another one where they don’t and it happens exactly like we see in canon. There’s also another story I had thought about for my OC where Fives really dies, but I think I will talk about it in a future post because here FIVES IS ALIVE!

Thank you for asking about this! ❤ And I apologize for not giving a better story, I really need to practice writing, but this kind of helps? I guess??

Know what I want more of in my fiction? “Nice Guy” villains. “Incel” villains. Villains who exhibit the most toxic aspects of current masculinity and culture and are shamed for it.

Like Tighten from Megamind.

I know it’s years old but this movie is still the best, especially because of the characterization of their villain. He receives a dozen soft no’s from Roxanne (the Lois Lane archetype), it’s suggested he’s been getting them for years, and he still pursues her even to the point of endangering her life. When he finally understands that her “no” is final, he throws a superpowered shit fit and tries to kill her and her actual love interest (Megamind) and televises it in a ploy to get sympathy (”a reminder of the night she ferociously ripped out my heart”). He has no concept of boundaries or consent, and it is shown for the vile behavior that it is.

And the thing is? I can’t remember another villain like him? Not anywhere. You could make an argument that Snape is a Nice Guy, but the narrative doesn’t criticize the behavior. To the contrary, his eternal love obsession with Lily is praised. Every character who comes even close to Tighten, ends up praised by the end. And I’m sick of it.

Get on Megamind’s level, screenwriters.

But can you imagine a crowded family dinner at the clones’ and then one of the boys’ S.O. says something along the lines of “oh dear, you’re so cute” and they all collectively say “thank you” because they have the same face and it’s kind of like a collective bad joke but the impulse to make it is too strong

headcanon that the first phase of the clone armor didnt have very good protection on the hands and it got added later on because clones kept coming back from the battlefeild with broken hands. it wasnt there in the first place because the kaminoans didnt expect the clones to fucking punch the droids in the face this isnt how we trained you this is why you have a gun
