Wait, Anakin wasn’t the only Jedi with a secret relationship, right? Wasn’t there a comic or a book I think that showed Aayla Secura and Kit Fisto having a secret romance?

padawanlost:

Just to clarify, the Jedi were forbidden from being in romantic
relationships, not sexual ones. They could have sex and hang with whoever they
wanted, they just couldn’t love them.

Though a radical
combatant with unorthodox fighting methods, Fisto is conservative-minded when
it comes to galactic politics. His close
friendship and concern for fellow Jedi Aayla Secura occasionally pressed
against the rules against attachment. They shared a deep respect for one
another that, had they been outside the Jedi order, perhaps may have evolved
into something else. [x]

Aayla and Kit Fisto were in a “relationship” but, like Obi-wan and
Taria, they never crossed the line Anakin and Padmé did.

Many Jedi were in secret “relationships” over the years or deeply
attached to their friends or Masters. Living beings crave connection. That’s
the problem the Order’s approach to love: it’s hypocritical and doomed to
failed. Most Jedi had someone they loved (platonic or romantic) but
thanks to this crazy rule they kept themselves from admitting it. This
mentality created beings incapable of saying I love you to someone until the object of their love is burning to
death 2 feet from them. And that, as we all know, ended in tragedy for
everyone.
