So anyway, Rex spears this guy, but if I may direct your attention to the top right gif…

Obi-wan Kenobi, who does not condone violence, who always attempts to spare the lives of sentients, who looked vaguely annoyed that one time Anakin stabbed Tal Merrik on the Coronet to save Satine. 

That Obi-wan Kenobi gives what looks like a premeditatied signal to Rex that basically says, “Fry this asshole.” AND HE SMILES WHILE DOING IT.

This Obi-wan Kenobi is not adhereing strictly to the principles of the Light Side of the Force. This Obi-wan Kenobi is out for revenge, which is most definitely not the Jedi Way. This Obi-wan Kenobi reached his first-level breaking point.

And you know what follows right after this whole incident? The Rako Hardeen debacle. Don’t tell me Obi-wan wasn’t still feeling a bit more than morally ambiguous when he signed up for that (was impressed into service by the Council *coughcoughcough*) and was pretty convincing in the role of Rako Hardeen.
