So, in your opinion, what should have Fives done to still be alive and help his brothers. Maybe escaping to another planet and contacting Rex from there? Somewhere in the Outer Rim where the Republic doesn’t have much influence maybe?

Nothing. I mean,
it wasn’t Fives actions that got him killed. He had no idea how much danger he
was in and he acted as he was trained to act. The clones were designed to be
put the “common good” above all else, they believed in the system and their
superiors. As a result, Fives lacked the cunning and perspective required for
one to think “uhhh maybe I should ditch my friends and distrust everyone”. Fives
acting in a more cunning, mistrustful manner would have been out of character for
him. Besides, there was nowhere he could go to escape Palpatine’s reach. The
Outer Rim was controlled by Dooku or by criminals under the influence of
Palpatine and everywhere else with enough resources to help Fives was controlled
by the Republic. Plus, if he had left, he would’ve become a deserter and was
going to be hunted down anyway.

By
discovering the truth, Fives but a gigantic target on his back and it was only
a matter of time before someone got to him. Either fives could keep himself
alive by hiding or he could do something to warn everyone and save his
brothers.
