dogma is a platoon sergeant! basically like, the lowest level of command, but still in command over a group of troops. companies, e.g. torrent company, are formed of three to six platoons. dogma being a platoon sergeant means he’s in command of one of them. he doesn’t have much authority, but given that he’s still pretty shiny it’s admirable.
