A concept: Anakin Skywalker is a really cuddly person. Like really cuddly. Most Jedi aren’t, they prefer to show affection in more subdued ways, but Anakin walks around the temple high fiving confused younglings and playfully taking Ahsoka by the shoulder and leaning his full weight on Obi-wan when he wants to be annoying or when he’s just tired and feels like it.

He pats Rex on the back and has a secret handshake with Quinlan and Mace asks Obi-wan if his former padawan has a concept of personal space and he just shrugs in response.

People don’t even bat an eye when he hugs Padme and spins her around because they saw him do that last week when he was reunited with Ahsoka so for all they know it’s just a platonic friendship.

And then it spreads. Anakin hugs Ahsoka who hugs Plo, and Obi-wan hugs Cody, who lowkey goes into shock before introducing the entire 212th to actual affectionate human contact. He hugs Padme who hugs Bail and Riyo, he hugs Rex who hugs Kix and Fives, and Mace is confused again but the whole thing seems to have raised everyone’s spirits so it’s okay perhaps.
