things I think about almost every day: how funny it is that the Rebellion’s official name is literally “the alliance to restore the republic” when like half of them were straightup separatists.

Concept: Cassian & Rex become buddies because they both start daydrinking visibly whenever Rebel leaders say stupit shit about the Republic being a bastion of freedom or whatever

At my (crappy) old workplace my pals and I used to play Bullshit Bingo during meetings (where each square was another dumb thing that happened every meeting) and now all that I can think of is a bunch of the old separatists and ex-GAR soldiers with their little cards printed out marking off every historically inaccurate reference to the republic during Stirring Rebellion SpeechesTM

rex one time literally just stands up mid-meeting and says ‘the next person who calls the republic a paragon of justice/beacon of hope/bastion of freedom/etc, i drag by the ear back to kamino and show you how free it was’
