Dogma getting really excited about something and starts getting animated and has ‘happy hands’ while talking to the 501st and Jesse laughs and Dogma goes shamefaced and he immediately stops

And Jesse sees it and immediately goes “no, don’t, please don’t stop”

And Dogma’s confused and goes “but you laughed. And they said it’s weird and-“

Jesse cuts him off and goes “no, it’s okay, I do it too. I just laughed because it’s good to see you happy, I’m sorry I made you feel bad. Keep going, please?”

Dogma hesitates, but starts talking again and pretty soon his hands are moving and happy again, and when Jesse starts talking he does actually do it too, and Dogma suddenly somehow feels so much better because he’s not alone

Turns out that there’s a lot of people that have happy hands, or do not eat foods or touch things with The Bad Texture. “Why do you think General Skywalker has such a thing about sand?” Fives says. (He won’t eat boiled carrots. They’re Wrong.) Hardcase bounces and never stops moving, and he has trouble focusing for too long (or he finds one thing and focuses only on that thing) and Boredom is Death, and some of the things he does Dogma can’t relate to but some of the things are the same

And Dogma talks about how sometimes his skin crawls and it’s like his body is lonely but he doesn’t touch anyone because as a cadet he was told about the importance of personal space and Jesse immediately moves over and puts an arm around him and says “we thought you were the opposite because you never touch anybody” but now they know, and Dogma gets hugs and pats on the back and contact and he’s so happy

Dogma isn’t alone anymore
