Anakin wouldn’t be as ruthless as everyone feared, yet, he wouldn’t rule like the Senate. And if anyone were to feel his wrath it would be the politicians. The ones who sat on pedestals of privilege while others suffered and fought their wars. Anakin starts to remember his own roots when he becomes sith emperor. How he was a slave, how he was ignored by Coruscant until he was of use to them. How they let his mother rot away on Tatooine. He thinks of all the people the Senators have abandoned, all those who suffered under them. So those are the ones he kills. First is Palpatine, and the rest are those who were the loudest voices and the faces of the Galactic Senate. After that, Anakin appoints different people-qualified people–to govern the Republic. He looks for community leaders, activists, social justice advocates, clones (both deserted and still in the army) -people who suffered and had nothing yet were involved with making a difference. People who know and truly care about the community. Anakin starts to see a good change in his Republic and things all around start to get better.
