Season 2, Episode 16 – Cat and Mouse

I headcanon that Admiral Trench is a female spider, given spider sexual dimorphism on Earth (the females are bigger, smarter, and often live longer). Her voice sounds ‘male’ to humans due to the greater length of her vocal cords. She finds Anakin getting her pronouns wrong and calling her ugly amusing rather than insulting; another failure of Republic intelligence! She is highly desirable among her own people. Even with the blockade and famine, males line up for her attention. Even though they risk getting eaten.

She survives Ringo Vinda, and is influential in her people joining the Rebellion. Mon Mothma appreciates her strategic and tactical genius, but can’t stand to be in the same room as her.
