The Jedi way

ok public poll: is anakin being serious here or is he more like “iT Is noT the jEDI wAY” like that one spongebob meme

Funny answer: Both lol

Serious answer: The Jedi Code was the only thing Anakin had left. Palpatine had been tempting for so many long and had finally revealed himself as the Sith Lord. Anakin didn’t followed him immediately because that wouldn’t have been “the Jedi way”. Then at this moment, Anakin realized, what’s the real difference between the Jedi and the Sith? Both were willing to kill an “unarmed person” (which we know it’s false).

Anakin was in desperate need of help. He had asked the Jedi for help when he talked with Yoda and the only thing he got was basically a “let that person die, there’s nothing you can do about it, if you’re afraid of losing them, then you’re taking the path of the dark side, you’re greedy for not wanting to let them go” (paraphrased, but that’s almost the same thing Yoda told him). And then Palpatine comes and tell him “Hey! There’s a way to stop people from dying! The Jedi won’t teach you, but I can”. Anakin realizes Palpatine is the Sith and goes to the Jedi and then this happens.

Anakin chose to follow Palpatine because he didn’t had any hope left in the Jedi.

How did you get into The Clone Wars?

I think I’ve told this story before? So I apologize in advance if I’m repeating myself!

I got into Star Wars first thanks to my cousin and uncle, they shared all their DVDs with me and I don’t remember it very well but I think I watched all of them in like two or three days??

And after that I want for more Star Wars because I loved it so much! And I found there was a series and I couldn’t be happier!!! And of course I had to go look out for it! So I went into YouTube and I clearly remember that one of the first videos I found was Tup’s death and I clicked on it, and I really didn’t understand what that scene really meant, like, I didn’t know back then how big that spoiler was, but that was the scene that convinced me to watch the series bc I just found it heartwarming how much that man (I had no idea that he was Fives and how much I would love him later on) cared about his brother and I think I even cried a little when Tup died even though I didn’t really understand what was going on.

Of course that after watching all the seasons and getting to that scene I was like “Oh…” and cried again.

But getting into TCW was one of the best things I could ever do! Apart from how beautiful and amazing the series is, I’ve met great people through this fandom and I’m thankful for each one of you! ❤

Unpopular opinion: the fandom version of an angry Kix yelling at his brothers doesn’t match the deserter’s episode Kix that very quietly and as politely as possible reminds an injured Rex that he outranks him.

Kix is most likely stern when it comes to the health of the men, but never rude. He’s a sensitive guy who got actually angry at some carrion-eating alien birds for preying on his fallen brothers. He soothes the injured clone in umbara before giving him a shot “there brother, this’ll ease the pain”. Even when Fives, being hunted by the republic asks him for something quite difficult (getting Rex and Skywalker to meet him), he never screams or gets angry at Fives, on the contrary- he’s scared for him.

TL;DR: Kix is not ever rude to his brothers or scream at them, but is a soft badass clone who just wants to keep his brothers alive.

YES!!! THIS!!!!!! And the ONE AND ONLY time Kix was rightfully angry was when Rex didní allow him to coma back to save more brothers:

And even then, HE IS NOT SCREAMING!

This was the only time he lost control of himself and it was because he had been tolerating Krell´s attitude for days probably. It took days for Kix to finally snap, and even there, he only said ONE thing.

Then he spent the rest of the time being a sweetheart and helping his brothers

I wanna hear all about your 100% canon «Fives survived by Being Dramatic» story, and heck throw in your oc too. Also how much coaching did Rex need to be able to act convincingly? is Rex a natural actor or is he horrifically stilted and Thank God anakin is naturally interprets everything 115% more dramatic than it actually is so Rex’s performance was convincing to him and him only?

Thank you for asking!! And to put things in context for other, this is about my tags in this post.

I’m not good at writing things but I’ll try to do my best 😀

……

So, Fives finds Kix in that bar and asks him to contact Rex and Anakin.

We see that there’s a security droid following him, but there is somebody who’s following him too, that’s Shadow (my OC). Shadow destroys the droid and meets Fives in together they plan everything: Fives has to fake his death and escape to a place where the Republic won’t find him. They call Rex and Fox and tell them about their plan, Fox agrees because, despite his work, he never fully trusted Palpatine. They tell him where they are and that’s how the Coruscant Guard finds the place where Fives was.

Fives loves giving dramatic speeches, so there wasn’t much problem with that. Fox managed to get a fake blaster that only damaged Fives’ armor. And Rex has lived that scene so many times with other brothers that the acting just came naturally for him.

Shadow was hiding in the back of the room and when Fives had “died” she came into scene and after some crying, she asked that she should be the one to take Fives body to the medical center in Coruscant and Anakin agreed, but Rex should go with her.

She then sends Fives to another ship that was already waiting for him with Captain Hope (another OC) who was already told about the plan.

She goes to the medical center with Rex and using some credits she had saved, and some mind force tricks, she “convinces” the medics there to be fake a report for Palpatine.

Then she goes to meet with Fives and takes him to a planet in the Unknown Regions, near the Wild Space, where she had been taking clones who wanted to desert since the beginning of the war, Fives will be safe there.

………

I think I should try to learn how to write correctly so I can make a story out of this. I have two versions that might happen after this, one where they succeed in telling everybody about the chips and the orders and another one where they don’t and it happens exactly like we see in canon. There’s also another story I had thought about for my OC where Fives really dies, but I think I will talk about it in a future post because here FIVES IS ALIVE!

Thank you for asking about this! ❤ And I apologize for not giving a better story, I really need to practice writing, but this kind of helps? I guess??

Whenever I feel like I don’t have the energy to do something or to finish with my work, I like to imagine Obi-Wan’s voice saying things like “it’s okay, my dear, you can do it” or “just keep trying, darling, just finish this task and you can rest”. And honestly, I don’t know if that’s normal, but it really helps!

for @arctrooperfivesbutt

Oh, the pain!!! This hurt so much that it feels like the blaster had also gone right through my heart

Well, this might proof that I’m still salty about all this Anakin discourse that has been going on lately. But honestly? All the Anakin haters can fight me tbh.

I’ve seen many people complain saying that why Anakin didn’t put so much effort into helping Fives as he did with Ahsoka. But let’s check the facts. The Ahsoka thing probably took many days, since she was accused, and during all the time she spent escaping, which gave Anakin enough time to investigate and find the true guilty. Now, with Fives, it probably only took a few hours since he tried to kill Palpatine and Fives gave Kix the coordinates for Anakin to find him. There was no time to investigate, they needed to act quickly or Fives would have been captured by the Coruscant Guard.

When Anakin arrives, he’s only with Rex. He could have taken a clone squadron with them, but he didn’t, just as Fives had asked him. Then again, when Fives asks them to lower their weapons, he gives Rex the order to do it, only trusting Fives word about him being unarmed.

We’re here to help you, Fives. Just come with us. Let us take you back to the temple” Anakin never intended to take Fives to prison or to whatever place they might have taken him. He wanted to take him to the Jedi temple, where he would have been safer.

When Fives tell them that he was framed, Anakin looks down, like he’s thinking about the whole situation. Then he asked for evidence. Here, we know that what Fives is saying is true, but they don’t, they believe that Fives is a dangerous man because he took out his chip, that’s what they have been told and they probably were certain of it because Fives tried to kill the “innocent” Chancellor. But Anakin says “Let’s get you some help first. Then we can review everything. It’ll be okay, Fives. We’ll sort this out”. Despite not believing in what Fives was saying, Anakin still wanted to help.

The only moment Anakin looses his patience is when Fives tell them that the Chancellor is involved in the plot. “The Chancellor is incapable of what you claim” he says. But let’s remember that Anakin has being manipulated by Palpatine, since he was a kid, into believing he’s a good man and a good friend of his.

Then the Coruscant Guard arrives and this is Anakin’s face when he sees them:

You can barely see it because the focus of the scene is in Fives. But he’s worried he’s scared for Fives. Then again, the scene focuses on Fives, but if you look at Anakin right before Fives tries to take Rex’s blasters, you see Anakin trying to stop him from doing it.

Then just see the gifs above to see how sad he was. And if you want more proof? Look at this:

You can’t convince me that he “didn’t care”

But then some people might say “why didn’t he investigate afterwards?”. He doesn’t because he trusts Palpatine. Palpatine tell them that it was a parasite and that it was the only cause of the “sickness” Fives and Tup had. Then Yoda and Mace say that the situation is over, so what else can we expect Anakin to do? The Jedi council stopped the investigation because Palpatine gave them the “solution”. There’s nothing else to do.

If we’re going to hate somebody, let’s hate Palpatine.

Anyway… after saying this, I’ll go back to keep crying about Fives because this scene hurt me too much.

@guineapigzwei yes they should have, but I think they didn’t bc, first, the plot was already established, order 66 had to happen. Second, the Jedi arrogance stop them from seeing the darkness behind all the situation. And third, the blind trust the Jedi order had in the Chancellor. They stopped investigating because Palpatine gave them the “solution” to the problem.

They were basically told “the cause was a parasite, but you don’t have to worry anymore because we’ve developed a vaccine for other clones so this won’t happen again” and they believed it. The Jedi needed the clone army to win the war and now that they know that the problem is “solved”, then why they should worry?

And the Jedi had more than one opportunity to stop order 66 from happening. I mean, Kix managed to discover the plot and he was just a one man! Imagine what the Jedi could have done if they had believed in Fives’ words!
