You can see his tragic progression from innocent baby batcher, to eager shinie, to serious trooper, tired ARC, and finally disillusioned soldier who understands he’s nothing more than property.
Part of it may be the lighting, but his cheekbones get more sunken as time goes on. 😦
Had SUCH a fun time drawing @arctrooperfivesbutt ‘s OC Shadow!! They were kind enough to give me a description of their character so I was able to get a pretty good idea of what they looked like! I took some creative liberties like the blue highlights and hair styles. I LOVE DRAWING OCS!!! Shadow is such a cool and interesting character that I highly recommend you check out!! @arctrooperfivesbutt is such a sweet persons DEFINITELY check them out if you haven’t already!!

the body language between rex and anakin when they find fives is like, so stiff. the moment they meet fives you can tell Rex wants to say more. But he can’t; he’s restricted and that’s because of Anakin. He is so uncomfortable around Anakin, he doesn’t want Anakin to be there because he knows Anakin will make the situation worse (and he does!! his outburst and lack of understanding gets Fives killed!!). Rex believes Fives and wants to say so much more–he wants to comfort him, calm him down and tell him everything will be fine. Fives is his brother, and Rex knows he can handle the situation. He also knows that Fives is afraid, and honest and just needs someone to listen. Rex didn’t want Anakin there, but he was there and that is where things went wrong. Anakin doesn’t even realize how much he was intruding in that moment between two brothers, he doesn’t even see the importance in the moment(hell it was even an important moment between Fox, Fives and Rex). He was aggressive, rude and didn’t even care what his presence being there had done. Anakin is to blame for Fives death, not Fox; his presence, his energy was so repulsive to Rex and you could tell. But Rex couldn’t speak out, he couldn’t say anything. He could only watch as a jedi got his brother murdered.
(I’ve never been to Texas myself but let’s see what I can put in *cracks knuckles*)

Late response, sorry! Hmm… let’s see. Well, I’d agree with you that Droidbait is pretty fast! I’ve mentioned before that I headcanon him as being slightly (just slightly) smaller than the average clone, much like how Zeer is slightly larger, just as a result of the Fett DNA running thin. He’s probably the fastest. Fives and Echo are both very skilled fighters, but Fives is more of a brawler while Echo is more limber. Fives is definitely the strongest, but as far as aggression goes Hevy has him beat if you get him angry. Cutup has great reflexes. It was quite a few chapters ago, but I mentioned that he and Echo were the best snipers of the group. Hevy is also very aware of his surroundings. He’s good at taking things in quickly and making fast decisions. A lot of Echo’s skills are more mental, but they translate well into helping him during conflict–a good memory, for example, and the ability to know what to say during bad situations. He uses those skills to enhance the advanced combat training he got during ARC training.
Those are some of my thoughts, a little scattered, but there you have it! I’m so happy you liked that chapter!!! Thank you!!
