My aesthetic is seeing my bisexual icons, Korra and Asami, discussing LGBT issues while the sky is painted the colors of the Bi Pride Flag behind them.
the thing i like about the relationships in avatar is the girls are allowed to get upset at the guys they like without being seen as the bad guy. katara gets angry because aang kisses her right after she opens up about feeling confused and aang is downright ashamed, mai is angry because zuko is acting too possessive and zuko is immediately put in the doghouse, and suki is upset because sokka is treating her like shes a damsel in distress when she can hold her own and sokka apologizes for it. now we know from the guys point of view they dont mean harm but they did cause harm and therefore the girls have every right to be upset. this is really important for kids to see so they (especially girls) know they can call out behavior they dont like in a relationship and also learn from the characters they love making mistakes of their own.
Avatar live action adaptation’s costumes and set designs are gonna be stunning if the original show is any indication. I’ve compared show’s existing designs to their real-life inspirations. If they take some creative liberty, like how Game of Thrones did with its costume designs, I think it’s we’re going to get a visually stunning show, at the very least.

Other second-born heirs to the throne line always outline plans, plotting, creat conspiracies and allies, evil mastermind their way to the throne in order to steal it from their first-born rivals.
Just about every joke in Avatar: The Last Airbender is peak comedy but conceptually my favorite moment is that scene in The Waterbending Scroll where Zuko’s crew was fighting some pirates and Aang was lost in the middle of a smoke cloud.
Now, Aang being an Airbender, the logical thing to do would be to blow the smoke away, which he does.
This would be funny enough in and of itself, but what really gets me is that Aang just nopes his way out of the situation by… Calling the smoke back?
Like on top of this being the literal only instance of an aerokinetic character blowing smoke away in reverse (not the same thing as kicking up a cloud of dust) just… everyone who was fighting just goes back to fighting each other like that didn’t just happen? Like they didn’t just see the Avatar- who they’re fighting over- is no longer tied up?
This five seconds of animation is just the most beautifully hilarious mess.

ok so this explains why katara and sokka were bundled up in parkas galore while aang was just walking around in his little jump suit like it was a perfect summer evening. I’m so glad this was cleared up. I literally thought Aang’s optimistic attitude is what kept him warm, heavens.
So you remember the firebender prison? And how Zuko kept his bending at full strength when he was put in the freezer box, which disabled anybody else put in there? That’s because Iroh taught him that airbender trick, just like later he taught him waterbending moves to deal with lightning. Iroh was secretly master of all four elements and passed it on to Zuko without him noticing.
That’s what made Iroh so powerful. He stretched beyond his limits, and beyond the limits of what was known and expected. That’s why he’s such a force to be reckoned with.
