Watching clips from The Clone Wars and like… man, a lot of Jedi do not make good strategic or tactical leaders.

Like… who attacks an area that is known to be heavily defended without first neutralizing its anti-air defences? Especially when you have ships that can sit in low orbit and just blast the area with lasers and bombs.

Order 66 was just a mass fragging of incompetent COs

>good, realistic tactics

>Star Wars

Pick one.

The Jedi were only leaders because they held positions of power. They were basically monks that got given an army that was as dispensable as the CSA

Almost like someone wanted to kill them.

It’s almost like intense warfare, loss, mass confusion, anger, hate, and pain fucks up a Jedi’s connection to the Force and hampers their ability to function as a Jedi, making it easier when the time comes to shoot them in the backs while they’re scattered, battered, and weary from a war they were never trained to participate in because Jedi were supposed to be psychic space monks who help settle political disputes, and not soldiers launching themselves into the middle of active battlefields

Also every Knight was given the rank of General and every Padawan was made a Commander, with no regard for leadership abilities, because the whole Republic was built around their theocracy.

Its almost as if the Primary reason the CIS didn’t win was because they were actively being sabotaged by their own leadership to prevent them from whiping out the Jedi and the Republic before some evil power grab could be enacted.

The Clone Wars were a hot mess. On one side we have a bunch of business leaders pushing an independence movement that is largely motivated by ignoring trade restrictions. On the other you have a massive bureaucratic organization that was never supposed to be armed, suddenly becoming militarized and exerting force upon those planets that saw independence as preferable to being ruled by massively connected politicians with little concern for the local situation. And in the middle are planets making complex decisions based upon the local issues and choosing sides regardless of the Republic or CIS concerns.

And in the shadows, we have a proxy war that has gone on for thousands of years, whose players are meddling into the political conflict by vying for different spheres of influence over the neutral parties.

Damn Naboobians and their tax code making a perfect situation to thrust an order of peacekeepers into situations where their own arrogance would betray them.

Hey guys, can you please, PLEASE stop pretending the clones are actually children? Please? They’re not children, they are MEN, they’ve said it a million times through the show and you still don’t understand.

You say they’re actually ten? Yes it’s true, but remember that they grow up two times faster than a normal human. It’s not like they missed the period of being kids, yes they spent it training and training, but they WERE kids. They didn’t just jumped to be adults, they might be 10, but they have the mind and the body of an adult, so please stop pretending they’re kids.

You know what do remind me of when you say they’re children you have to take care of? You remind me of Spanish conquerors when they arrived to America to colonize it. It was the EXACT same mentality they had towards native americans. How so? They thought the indigenous people were inferior to them because they were considering to be like kids who needed to be taken care of. That’s what you remind me of when you say “omg the clones are children and I need to protect”

And just in case it isn’t clear enough:

THE CLONES ARE NOT CHILDREN, THEY ARE MEN.
